Everton midfielder Orel Mangala has sustained an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury and is expected to miss the rest of the season, while striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin is set to miss a number of weeks with a hamstring injury.

Everton have confirmed that Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be out of action for ‘a number of weeks’ after sustaining a hamstring injury, although David Moyes has offered some optimism. The England international limped out of the 1-0 win at Brighton after just 12 minutes last weekend,

Everton midfielder Orel Mangala has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

Mangala's condition is far worse, the Belgian international having suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury that will render him unavailable for the rest of the season. The midfielder is with Everton on a loan deal from Lyon that will expire before he is fit to play again.

Everton were handed a double injury blow on Thursday when the Premier League club announced midfielder Orel Mangala would miss the rest of the season with a knee injury while striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin was sidelined with a hamstring injury.
