The NBA trade deadline is a stressful time for everybody around the league. Rumors are always in the air and players are always on high alert wondering where they are going to play after 3 p.m. EST on Thursday.

The 76ers filled a need at backup point guard. And in the process they acquired someone they coveted since the 2021 NBA draft. On Thursday, the Sixers agreed to acquire two-way player Jared Butler and four second-round picks from the Washington Wizards in exchange for Reggie Jackson and a 2026 first-round pick,

The Sixers sent Milwaukee’s 2027 second-round pick and Dallas’s 2031 pick to Detroit for cash considerations, getting Martin’s contract off the books. The Sixers waived Nance for the second time this season. The forward had played 68 minutes over seven games.
