Pennsylvania State Police continue to investigate the shooting with hostages at UPMC Memorial Hospital, a spokesman said.

The shooter has been identified as Diogenes Archangel Ortiz. He allegedly entered the hospital with a handgun and zip ties.

The hospital confirmed that all staff members of UPMC Memorial are medically stable and progressing in their recovery.
