Former Little River Band members Gerard Bertelkamp (Beeb Birtles) and David Briggs have both been named in the Australia Day honors list and awarded the Member of the Order of Australia (AM).

Bob ‘Bongo’ Starkie, the guitarist for Skyhooks, has been diagnosed with aggressive Leukemia and has cancelled all of his upcoming shows.

The 53rd Country Music Awards of Australia were announced in Tamworth on Saturday 25 January 2025. Troy Cassar-Daley was the big winner for the night.
